I’ll make NPF appealing to youths –Korede Bello

Popular Mavin artiste, Korede Bello, has added another feather to his cap as he was recently appointed as the first police youth ambassador for peace. In an exclusive interview with Saturday Beats, the young lad said he was appointed due to the grace of God. He further said that he was going to use his influence to make the police force look appealing to youths.

Korede Bello told Saturday Beats that although he never aspired to be a policeman in life, he always played the popular game, ‘Police and thief’, with his siblings and he always played the role of a policeman.

“It is only God that knows why I was chosen by the Nigeria Police Force to become their ambassador. I am humbled and honoured that of all the artist in Nigeria, they picked me. It is not by my power but by the grace of God. From the speech made by the IGP during the ceremony, he highlighted certain reasons why I was chosen. He said that I was chosen because of my character, influence, and my moral standing. He said I am a representative of the Nigerian youth. I am just overwhelmed and grateful.

“Right now, I am tasked with bridging the gap between the Nigeria police and the Nigerian populace. I am going to use my music to preach a message of peace and safety. I am tasked with the responsibility of influencing and encouraging Nigerian youths to be more responsible and shun a life of violence and crime. I will also preach to the youth to cultivate a healthy lifestyle and shun alcohol and substance abuse. I never thought of being a police man but while growing up, I used to play the game police and thief with my siblings. Now that I am a police ambassador, I am going to use my influence to make the police force so appealing that youths would aspire to become policemen. Policemen are very nice people and I am going to make sure that I show the world that the Nigeria Police is an institution of professional law enforcement agents,” he said.
